With more than 25 years of experience, Mike Griffin’s practice has focused on estate planning, tax law, and business law matters. Mr. Griffin is well versed in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. He invests the time and possesses the skills to guide individuals through the process of protecting their families’ futures. Mr. Griffin works with clients to reach their asset protection goals, and assists them with their estate planning needs, such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, family limited partnerships, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. In addition, he has experience preparing estate tax returns and gift tax returns, and administering decedent’s probate estates and trust estates.
Mr. Griffin also advises business clients on a wide variety of planning, operational and transactional matters and has a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing owners of large and small businesses. He assists clients with business formation deciding whether to form as a “C” corporation, “S” corporation, or limited liability company, including tax aspects of such a decision. Additionally, he has experience with negotiating and preparing merger and stock and asset acquisition documents, buy-sell agreements, by-laws, operating agreements, succession planning documents, employment and non-compete agreements, and private placement memoranda.
